We are looking for 2 developers with relevant experience in development in RPG with LANSA as development environment.
The position is in Belgium, close to Brussels (less than 30 km from Brussels), in Aalst (Alost).
The mandatory language is English (Dutch = asset).
The first contract is 3 months (ext!!).

The project is challenging since it entails lots of different aspects:
- collaboration with the functional side (functional specs will be drawn up by Business Analysts but you will have to interact with them)
- Technical design - Technical specs - Development for RPG and LANSA applications on i-series
- Test scenarios
- 3rd level support + assist in maintenance

The following competences are considered as a strong plus:
•Knowledge of infrastructure (hardware, operating systems, database management systems, etc..)

The mission will consist of:
•Collects and documents Technical Specifications based on Functional user specifications and provides feedback to the functional analyst to align requirements with system capabilities.
•Creates technical design specifications for RPG and LANSA applications on I-Series and builds the defined objects that meets the functional users specifications.
•Defines specific end-to-end Test Scenarios and develops Test Cases in order to enable:
othe unit testing of objects, and
othe integration testing of the developed application(s)
•Performs unit and integration testing in order to track down errors in developed objects.
•Corrects functional and technical errors in RPG/LANSA modules and resolves issues identified in Integration and/or User Acceptance Testing in order to maximize the efficiency of the developed applications.
•Adapts existing functionalities based on change requirements from users.
•Documents applications, programs, test scripts and results in compliance with the internal methodology.
•Assists the support and development team in changing/maintaining the applications.
