J2EE Infrastructure expert BEA WEBLOGIC APPLICATION SERVER JBOSS TOMCAT

For a key customer of ours we are looking for an administrator (with deep infrastructure
knowledge, architecture knowledge) of BEA application servers Weblogic.

The consultant (he/she) will be working in Antwerp (Belgium) for a long term contract.

The consultant will be part of the Application Servers team focusing on on support and
deployment of the business solutions within J2EE-servers.

Environment Development Tool(s) and Platform(s):
- JBoss/Tomcat
- Bea Weblogic, iPlanet
- Java
- Linux, Unix, Windows OS
- Oracle

Primary Tasks and responsibilities:
- Assistance and guidance (infrastructure design/architecture) of complex projects and
project upgrades in a BEA WebLogic, Tomcat and JBoss environment.
- Serve as lead for initiatives related to subject area expertise, providing necessary and
relevant project deliverables, status updates, utilization and scheduling guidance, and
related communications to the project manager and project team members.
- Creation / improvement of implementation guidelines, best practices, methodologies and
QA documentation.
- Installation and upgrades of different BEA WebLogic, Tomcat and JBoss components.
- General BEA WebLogic, Tomcat and JBoss system administration.
- Technical support for third line problem solving & debugging issues in a BEA WebLogic,
Tomcat and JBoss environment.
- Creation / improvement of operational guidelines and work instructions and necessary
documentation for transition of first and second line tasks.

Technical profile requirements:
- In depth technical knowledge of BEA WebLogic, Tomcat and JBoss Application Server and
extensive implementation and operational experience with these environments (+5 years of
experience).
- 2+ years of service design and architectural infrastructure experience in this area
required.
- 3+ years experience with key project roles on large enterprise technology implementation
projects.
- Thorough knowledge of Unix (HPUX and SuSe), Windows, Oracle.
- Knowledge on SOX and GxP required.
- Good communication skills and teamplayer.
- Customer-oriented and solution-driven.
- Sense of ownership with regards to assigned tasks.
- Sense of responsibility towards general health of platform.
- Development skills and functional BEA WebLogic, Tomcat and JBoss knowledge are
desirable.
- Experience with key technologies related or linked to this environment is a plus
