Functional / Business Analyst Telco Brussels Modelling MTP SCCP VOIP ITT UAT

For a key customer we are looking for a Business Analyst for a project taking place in Brussels.
The consultant (he/she) must speak fluent English AND French and/or Dutch (speaking english only is not enough).
ATTENTION: we re-launched the requirement. The customer interviewed a few people but apparently, the key features that could help you stand out from the other applicants are:
Functional skills (Functional design, analysis, architecture)
Modelling (data modelling)
Telecommunications knowledge (MTP/SCCP, softswitch network...)

The contract is long term.

Position : Business Analyst in International Wholesale context

General Tasks :

1. Assists in defining the IT strategy ensuring alignment with the business strategy and divisional objectives and assists to the definition of the roadmaps to achieve the strategy

2. Analysing various new needs coming from the user community.

3. Discussing and clarifying the user requirements together with (various) users. Obtaining alignment across the different stakeholders is part of this process.

4. Translate these requirements towards system requirements. This includes:
- Defining and agreeing upon the functional application architecture to satisfy those needs with the IT software development teams and the users.
- Defining a conceptual data model, which determines how to organise and store information generated by the user or system

5. Plans, arranges and controls meetings, workshops and relations with client/user staff in order to gather requirements and to investigate systems. Is able to find compromises between different user views to ensure congruence in requirements

6. Supports the different phases and intervening parties of a project (development, scope & change management, ITT/UAT test phases, …) in order to assist to/ensure the optimal construction of IT projects. Assists the process managers in defining the business processes around the solution to implement.


Profile :

- Strong analytical mind.
- Good analysis and modeling skills
- Good oral and written communicator and negotiator. Able to
organise & lead workshops with people with different backgrounds/profiles
involved in the requirements gathering and overall design process.
- Good knowledge of English and French/Dutch

Specific experience requested :

- Knowledge on network documentation/modeling of a VOIP and softswitch network (both VOIP and TDM connectivity)
- Knowledge on signalling network (MTP/SCCP services)
