From Gestionique. We are looking for a (m/f) hardware Engineer (design & development) for Defence & Airborne applications, who will be working for our client. Location: Near Brussels . Job type : freelance (contract) or employee (permanent). CONTEXT: The "hardware group" is responsible for the study, the design and the development of hardware products for Defense & Airborne applications. The group is also responsible to develop the technologies required for its activities. Those technologies are related to analogue, digital and signal processing development. Function The candidate will be responsible for the design and development, from start till finish, of analogue and digital hardware. This includes analysis of customer specifications, implementation of top level and detailed design, performing of the different development activities. In addition to R&D activities, he/she will be responsible of the analysis of electromagnetic related issues as antenna installation, antenna radiation pattern estimation and EMC. His/her work will be mainly in a defense-oriented environment taking into account the different military software standards and in house quality procedures (ISO and Civil Aviation standards). The candidate will typically cooperate with other groups to participate in the quotation phase for the analysis of system solutions taking into account existing products, with the necessary attention for the technical aspects. The candidate will typically work in a multilingual/international environment, and in some cases he will have to travel to meet other designers, customers or sub contractors. Profile : a) Required level of studies or experience : Civil or industrial engineer in electronics-telecommunication (if possible with 1 or 2 years of experience in hardware development) b)Knowledge and skills : - Knowledge in Electromagnetic radiation, Antenna technology. - Knowledge in Electro-Magnetic Compatibility. - Knowledge of hardware circuits including analogue circuits, µProcessors, digital signal processors. - Experience of analogue circuits design and simulations tools like Spice - If possible, Good knowledge in Digital Signal Processing algorithms and Waveform simulation - Abstract mental capacity and a wide interest in technology. Innovative, creative and avid learner. - Good knowledge of French and/or Dutch and English is required. - Ability to work in team. Taste for international contacts.
