Context of the mission
The FIB applications portfolio includes VB6 applications that must be migrated technically to a .Net C# platform, within the FIB new technical frameworks.
The migration program is driven by a dedicated migration team that is coordinating the different migration projects within the IS divisions that are owning the applications to be migrated.
The teams « FIB IS (Information Services) Expertise Centres » / “FIB Architecture” are looking for a technical architect in order to support technical migrations projects.

Objective of the job
• Acting as Technical Architect in Insurance Belgium, you will have a global vision of our packages of applications in order to support the whole migration process.You will have a wide expertise in each technical architecture used inside FIB.
• You assist the Project Manager to take good technical decisions in order to achieve projects in terms of scope and target.
• You assist the Project Manager in the daily follow up of each migration process.
• You participate to each RFP process
• You are involved in the technical design of applications.
• You describe and communicate quality and performance issues in the context of the migration
• You define standards/guidelines/best practices to improve the migration process.
• Your expertise should be used to estimate impacts of changes (in term of risks and budget/planning impacts)
• You are the point of contact with the I&O team to communicate and follow up the issues addressed.
• You give advice and share your expertise for decisions about technical architecture in running/new projects.
• You give advice and share your expertise for decisions about technical design in running/new projects.
• You will animate and participate to a community of technical architects to discuss about projects, issues, share knowledge, discuss guidelines, …

Start Date : ASAP
Duration : 1 year with possible extension

Required knowledge and experience
• University graduate or similar through experience
• Good communication skills in English, French and Dutch
• Flexible, considerable degree of autonomy.
• Structured, pro-active and well organized
• Open and analytical mind, solution driven
• Preferably experienced in the full lifecycle of migration projects (RFP, supplier’s contact, design, quality assurance).
• Relevant experience in the framework .Net
• At least 2 years experience in Application Development in VB, C# and ASP.
• The knowledge of the technical architectures used inside FIB is an asset
